The restaurant offers delicious food, with the fried corn being a standout dish. Despite the limited dessert options, the friendly service makes you feel right at home. The outdoor decking could use some improvement, but it doesn't detract from the overall positive experience.

We stopped at this restaurant on the way to Myrtle Beach. It is not fancy, but so welcoming. The staff was very friendly. The food was excellent. We ate from the $13.50 food bar. I tried small portions of several different items. The BBQ was excellent, very tender. The fried chicken was perfect. I tried mashed sweet potatoes, fried okra, cooked cabbage, hush puppies and a silver dollar biscuit, The desserts offered were banana cream pie, and peach and apple cobblers. I only tried the banana pudding and it was the best I have ever eaten. My husband said he would give the place a 9 out of 10 score. He had BBQ, fried chicken, slaw, sweet potatoes, hush puppies and macaroni & cheese. He also enjoyed banana cream pudding and the peach cobbler. He said both were excellent. Would I stop here again? Absolutely!

What a waste of $36.00 for a rack of ribs(3#). My husband picked up the ribs and I made the rest of the meal at home. We couldn't cut the ribs or chew them.....had to put them in the crockpot for a full day to cook them and then ended up throwing them out.....would not stop again!

their store that had desserts and assorted items plus gourmet coffees was to die for, But no one could stand the BBQ, much too salty and vinegary. Both the driver and passenger had to throw it out after 2 bites. I cannot eat pork so I am glad I did not order.

My husband and I enjoy watching "The Profit". After seeing the show for Schuler's bbq we decided to drive the 40 minutes to give it a try. Marcus Lemonis should be ashamed for recommending this place!! The spare ribs, which were supposed to be "to die for" were SO spicy that they were impossible to eat. The dessert bar consisted of banana pudding and ice cream. Not worth having a dessert bar! The biscuits were cold and the mac and cheese looked like it had been sitting there for the last few days..hard and not good!! To top it all off the place was absolutely freezing. Diners and servers alike had to wear coats. We will NEVER go back.

The best BBQ and ribs you'll ever eat!! This is how southern pulled pork whole hog taste like. Plus all the veggies and deserts are a bonus!! I would drive a 100 miles in a heartbeat to eat here again and again!!

Am from California, was driving from Charlotte to Myrtle Beach for a work conference... was getting frustrated at the endless fast food chains that appeared to be only food options on my route. Then saw this BBQ place that had a bunch of cars in front of it along the highway... I stopped, then went in and had one of the best meals I have EVER EATEN!!! The fried chicken, meatloaf, pulled pork squash casserole and picked coleslaw were out of this world good. I considered sneaking some food out to have a snack later on the road (they have a strict no doggie bag policy) but the staff was so nice and helpful I couldn't do it. Do yourself a favor and add Shuler's BBQ to your bucket list.

Great gathering of family and friends! The Owner and his wife were very nice, staff was very nice, we stopped on the way down to Florida and stopped on the way back, stayed at the Best Western at exit 180 A & B off of I 95. The home southern cooking was great and the desserts were a taste of heaven!! see you guys next year!

I love stopping in at Shuler's whenever we go to Myrtle Beach (from VA). The atmosphere is laid back & comfortable. The food is very good. I love the "sweet potato casserole". However, I think they could work harder on keeping the foods warm.
