We had dinner at this restaurant tonight and it was fantastic. The hamburger steak my husband ordered and the fried fantail shrimp I had were both delicious and served piping hot. We were pleasantly surprised when the owner came over to our table to introduce himself and chat with us about Clemson football. It's always a pleasure to dine somewhere that feels so welcoming.

My family for a long time running has been friends with the owners of the restaurant. Its clean and the staff very friendly and attentive. It does have a bar although they do not have wifi or outdoor seating which would make this place even more popular. They don't have a very good kids menu but my daughter did get the corn dog poppers and ate them all! The food is great! The prices are a little high but I pay for quality and if it's good quality, I don't mind paying a higher price. It is a little dark in the restaurant , a bit like T.G.I Fridays or Ruby Tuesdays. It's always a full parking lot, so you know the food is good! It is more a beef menu with a few exceptions. The steak and ribs are excellent! The waitress was very attentive to refilling our drinks and asking if we needed anything else when we were done with our main course. Bathrooms were very clean and up to date. T Roy's is always a family favorite and if we could eat there daily, we would!!!!

We ordered a take out meal on Saturday night. We ordered the french dip sandwich, baked potato and house salad. We asked for butter and sour cream for the potato. We got back to our inn with our meal and noticed that they hadn't given us any butter or sour cream, and the potato wasn't even sliced open. The only utenill we were given was a plastic fork. Try to cut a potato open with a plastic fork! Next we opened the salad, it was terrible, it had a half of a hard boiled egg that was like rubber sitting on top. They put honey croissant right on top of the dressed salad. It was a mess. Soggy with dressing. It was inedible. Next we tried the french dip. It was a grocery store roll with a few chunks of tough, extremely salty meat. It too was inedible. I called the restaurant immediately and told them about our meal and asked for a refund. The girl that answered the phone said that she had no authority and that no one else was there. She took my number and promised to have someone return my call that evening. Well, no one ever called, and it is now Tuesday. I have tried several times to call back and no one answers the phone. Worst meal and worst service I have ever had at a restaurant! Too bad, because we drive through Marion SC frequently. We will never go there again!
