Stopped in Yankton and had an amazing experience at Charlie's Pizza - delicious pizza, great service, and a cool vibe!

If you're gonna charge $30 a pizza you'd better not be subpar you had better hit the mark..inconsistent

Came in for pizza 920 pm Saturday. Hours were posted as open until 10 pm and we were told they were "done for the night'. Plenty of open tables and staff, we took our business elsewhere! Their loss, we found a new favorite pizza joint that night!

What's with the crabby old lady that owns this place??? If she hates customers then she should get out the business. Service is so bad it's unreal and she is so rude to talk to. Back when Terry & Misty owned this place it was so much fun to go to and the people were friendly and the pizza was so much better then it is now. Guess the owner rubs off on her employees as they seem to hate their job. Sorry I'll never be back and this is sad as it use to be the only place to go and have a great time. Do everyone a favor and sell out to someone who enjoys what they do.

horrible service pizzas good but not worth spending an hour calling trying to order

After reading some reviews, we decided to check out the place. First of all, it doesn't open until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. WTH?! Then when we tried to call after that, it was busy for almost an hour straight. When we finally got through, it was a recording saying they "can't always accommodate" carryout orders. (Didn't specify if this was that kind of night or not).
So we drove there, planning on placing an order for carryout. When we went in, the place was packed. We almost decided to just stay and eat. But when we asked the EXTREMELY RUDE old lady behind the counter if we could place a carryout order, she snapped, "No! I'm not letting any pizzas go out that way. We don't have time for that." Excuse me??? What is the difference if we eat inside or go and eat it in the car for all you care?! If anything, we're not taking up extra seats and still paying for your service. Nastiest attitude of an owner?/owner's wife? I've ever seen. We were willing to pay the ungodly overpriced rates just to try their pizza. Never again.

the one star is not for the pizza its all about the service and how rude they were to me. the old lady which i think is the owner should not come in contact with the customers !!!! she is a real turn off on going their for fun and a good pizza. its to bad that she has to own it as i wont be back !!!!! the old lady total turned me off the way she treats people.

I agree with the other posts. I was happy to bring some out of town friends to experience Charlie's Pizza. I knew they would be busy, but I was not expecting the lousy service and extremely rude old woman who I assume is the owner. If she cannot handle a busy restaurant maybe she should stay behind the scenes and let someone with a little bit of class run the front of the house. She gives Charlie's a bad reputation and I am saddened because their pizza is good, but not good enough to put up with rude and inconsiderate people. Don't eat her if you expect good service. What a shame.

Well, let's just say until tonight I had nothing bad to say about this place. However, first I asked for a glass of water and did not receive it until nearly twenty minutes later when my husband asked for it again. Second, when our pizza arrived it was totally incorrect. So my husband took the pizza up to the counter and explained why he was bringing it back. At this point the cook said he would remake the pizza, but when the old woman that is the owner found out she basically called me a liar and said that the pizza was correct and I had not specified how it should have been standing not ten feet from me so loudly that I and everyone at the table heard her. On top of that we got no apology for the inconvenience of waiting an additional 45 minutes to have the order corrected. What ever happened to "the customer is always right"? I will never go back to Charlies and advise people to avoid the waitress who is too busy trying to impress the cook to get her job done properly.

You screen your carry-out customers, the manager is rude and could care less if you ever come back and they have lost their Charlie's flavor. A real shame

You changed your recipe within the last year or so. I have no reason to come back.
