Today was our first visit to the Pizza Ranch. I have never been to this franchise, so I didn’t know what to expect. We ordered a family combo pack to go. Our first impression was that the atmosphere was tacky and uninviting. It was just like any fast food joint, where they really don’t want people to stick around for long. (How convenient, when they offer an “all you can eat” buffet.) Unfortunately, our food didn’t come very fast for a fast food joint. We had to wait at least 25 minutes for our order, which consisted of the only things the place really makes: pizza and chicken. I found that a little peculiar. Oh well, at least we knew that our food was fresh; but, the wait defeated the purpose of us ordering out, which was saving time. I could have made supper in the time it took to drive there and back and get our food. The food was OK though. I just wouldn’t go out of my way for it, if I was in a hurry. I would give it 3 stars, because this place seemed on par with the average KFC; but, I am deducting a star because it would not give us a senior discount for the take out, which I think is pretty stingy; especially considering how long we had to wait for our order.
