I never leave reviews, however the experience my young family received here I do not wish on anyone and felt I simply must warn others to prevent a similar experience. Which sounds like it happens daily!
First, the owner was the one running the cash register and was so rude and sarcastic whenever we asked any question. After payment we realized we were missing a double scoop for my daughter. When we told him we were missing this he answered with a very rude sarcastic remark. Every question we asked was responded to with rude sarcasm.
Second, the ordering process here was the most unorganized chaos my family has ever experienced. There were several people taking our order at the same time, all responding annoyed with any questions as well. Again, this chaos created the mishap of forgetting part of our order. Under normal circumstances just giving us our missing item would have sufficed. However, the demeanor and comment from the owner about this was so disrespectful I walked out while he was in mid-sentence baffled that this was happening.
Third, a couple that was directly behind us in line came out and found my family to tell us they cancelled their order and demanded their money back due to the owner treating the wife horribly as well! A female server offered the wife her drink even without payment to rectify the poor treatment by the owner. The wife refused she was so upset. The wife then told my family she asked for the owner to report this unprofessional behavior and discovered it was the owner being so rude. She even told him she couldn't believe how unprofessional and rude he was to my family having witnessed everything we went through.
Fourth, the same female server came out and apologized to the wife of the couple behind us and my family and well. She said the owner treats people like this daily! I asked if the owner sent her out to apologize and she said no. This place seems toxic not only to the lucky customers that get the owners awful professional skills but also for his employees.
I do not understand why this establishment had a line out the door or is listed as a must do in Custer! This is a sub-par ice cream and pie establishment compared to any Village Inn.
Do NOT waste your time or money here!
I am seriously shocked at how bad our experience was.
