Not impressed... ordered 4 chicken quesadillas and were very bland with not much at all in them. Los Meicanos are 100× better and filling. Don't know till you try, at least I know now. Not worth the money... glad my daughter likes it, and not gone to waste.

We have been looking for a good Mexican Restaurant in Spartanburg for years, had a coupon, and were down that way so gave it a try - not expecting much. We found an excellent Mexican restaurant, best in Spartanburg..
A Salsa bar is nice because you get a choice : my wife likes mild and I like hot. This salsa bar was excellent both in quality and choice. The guacamole salsa was very good, best I have had, but went unfinished. The habanero was hot delicious, great flavor yet plenty hot enough for anyone not trying to demonstrate virility. The chip are good and the waitress just keep asking you if you want more. I went through 3 small cups of the habanero - on my dinner too. Mid chip feast, the waitress came by with some freshly made warm peanut salsa - unusual for me and delicious.
The waitress was very competent, and helpful. She did her part to make this place special. I asked her which of the steak or chicken chorizo dinner would be best. She had her own preference, but went further to ask the cook. The chicken dinner came on two separate filled plates. There were two lean, tender, moist, very large chicken breasts covered with a tasty sauce. One would have been ample, but I enjoyed both. This may also have been the best value entree on the menu, though nearly one of the most expensive items on the menu. The corn tortillas, were delicate and cooked just right. A tortilla with peanut salsa with dinner went very well.
The beer was unusually inexpensive with an adequate selection of Mexican beers. The ambiance is inexpensive but not shabby or uncomfortable. The music is old county western hits, not Mexican. I stopped in front of the open kitchen where the cook worked happily and sang along with the music. He sang well, but cooked far to well to be let out of the kitchen . Give this place a try. It is only 15 min. South on Church St. from downtown Spartanburg. You don't need a coupon to try it because it is remarkably inexpensive for the quality.
