My family and I frequented this place once a month because we love the food and they've always been really friendly. The last time we ordered food we included a couple orders of satay and right on the menu it says it comes with peanut sauce. Well we drove 30 mins home (we live north of the city) to find out they didnt give us any. So my dad drove back to the restaurant to ask for some and the owner caught one heck of an attitude with my 61 year old father. She was screaming that we didnt ask for it and in the year we've eaten there we never have had to because it says on the menu its included. Well the mom stormed off mad and said my father was banned from the restaurant because we were causing trouble. We didn't make the mistake. We wanted it to be rectified. Chicken and rice without sauce is just chicken and rice. So by asking for what we should have received we wound up being shunned over nothing. Someone else came out and said yes the satay was supposed to come with peanut sauce and apologized for the owner (the mom's) behavior. So you would think after this misunderstanding, things would calm down after a few months. Nah. See my mom and I called tonight to get Thai food for ourselves to find out our numbers and cards are put on a blacklist to never be accepted because we were rude to the mother. So my entire family is punished because they forgot to include sauce in our order. Talk about an over reaction. I am not afraid to try and get this place shut down or inspected top to bottom. Extremely unethical and the Spokane area is known for a lot of hospitable and welcoming local restaurants. If you're looking for thai food served with a side of attitude, rudeness and overreactions (even though they messed up) then this is the rock bottom pit of thai food for you. If you want good thai food with a side of friendly and welcoming people try Kuni's Thai Food right up the street. At least at Kuni's they dont ban people over a freaking misunderstanding of a missing sauce. The atmosphere of A Taste of Thai is a lackluster attempt at drawing in the unsuspecting person craving thai food to waste their money supporting a business who treats their customers with ZERO respect and you better believe I will be posting this on every review and business report board out there.

We love A Taste of Thai! We appreciate the friendly service of a family restaurant. They truly not only appreciate your business, they make superfantabuliss food, healthy food for a reasonable price. They are like family to us, we have been going there for years! We had an amazing meal tonight... and we will be back next week!

frustrated with trying to get through to create phone orders - impossible - drive in and try to order but then 2 HOUR WAIT TO ORDER AFTER DRIVING IN - GIVING UP TRYING TO SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. - will be taking my money elsewhere going forward. Good luck :(

Great place to eat, best Thai food in Spokane at a great price. Nice cozy atmosphere. Well run family business. Neat, clean, good service. Our favorite go-to place to eat.
