The restaurant we visited last night exceeded our expectations with consistently excellent food and service, highlighted by a perfectly cooked Porterhouse steak and attentive manager; we plan to make this an annual fall stop due to its local favorite status and welcoming atmosphere.

Tonight we had a party of 6 adults a kid and a toddler. Forst thing is we got satted and got drinks then brought out bread about 10 minutes later. We ordered appetizers and then about 30 mins later the waiter comes and asks us for our meal orders. By this point almost everyone had finished their waters and we had to ask for refills where he bring us some water. After a legit hour our food comes by and we all have empty waters and two people did not get their plates till 10 minutes after everyone else had. Only one person had a hot meal. The Mac and cheese was legit cold almost as of coming out if a fridge. I had ordered a rare stake and got a well done steak. This is not an exaggeration as I'm not too picky and never send food back. At this point I'm in tears as I am a mother who never gets a warm meal or eats with my family bevause I make all the plates. My husband asked for my steak to be remade which took 20 minutes so everyone else had finished eating. We still had not had any drink refills since before our meal. Before I even get to eat my food we are presented with the checks where we were charged extra for Mac and cheese for a side which is understandable but instead of a minor upcharge it was Over 10 dollars. My meal had no comp and I did not even get a sorry. On top of this we had a 18% gratutuity on a 70 dollar check when our waiter had barely made face. Luckily they did call the owner and he took off the gratituty. My meal was not comped one bit. We couldn't get ahold of our waiter to grab me a box as we had paid before I even got 5 bites in. I had to ask the hostess grab me a box.
