Been there once. Food and service was terrible. Beautiful renovation. Get a new chef!!!

I would just like to say that I would've hoped for a better experience at The Fireside, especially after all the renovations and the hype. One of our main reasons for going was to listen to the various bands they had playing. The first visit we did not order dinner, just drinks. The second time we went, we ordered dinner and it was so so and the service was good. The third time we went we ordered dinner, drinks. We waited for 1 1/2 for our food, lack of attention from our waitress was very disappointing. When we asked our waitress about our order and expressed how long we were waiting, her only answer was - we are really busy tonight, but there were at least 6 empty tables. Our table was not the only one with this issue.
Very disappointed and not sure we will go back, which is very sad because we live in B'ville and we love supporting local businesses.
