While we present ourselves as a Pizzeria, Bottle Shop, and Italian Deli & Bakery, Quality Foods Market is a concept built upon similar, mom and pop type pizzerias and trattorias found throughout Italy. With just a few tables inside and out, QFM offers an intimate dining experience, where husband and wife owners Chef Chris and Emily make you a part of their extended family during your visit, with a little help at times from their elementary school aged daughter.
From our specialty, Pizza Napoletana, to our array of regional dishes, we follow the same traditions and preparation methods for a true Italian culinary experience. With rare exception, our foods are made with the highest quality imported ingredients, with as many DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) ingredients as possible including Mozzarella di Bufala from Campana, Burrata and Stracciatella from Puglia, San Marzano Tomatoes from Valle del Sarno, Prosciutto di Parma; Prosciutto San Daniele, and more.
Beyond providing an authentic Italian culinary experience, we also have the largest selection of Italian cured and cotto deli meats in the Southeast, along with an excellent selection of DOP cheeses, all available on our menu, AND, retail by the pound (deli to go available until 4pm daily); made from scratch Italian desserts, including many flavors of fresh made cannoli, espresso, cappuccino, and other specialty coffees; a large curated wine selection, with unique, small batch and boutique reserve wines from around the world; and Florida’s largest selection of locally brewed craft beer (600-800 at any given time), along with a select group of Chef curated, hard to find imported beers that pair well with our authentic Italian cuisine; and last but not least, a selection of imported foods and goods available for retail purchase.
The bottom line, QFM offers a unique experience akin to those found in the best hole in the wall pizzerias and restaurants found in the back alleys of Rome, Naples, Florence, and other great Italian destinations, offering a look into a way of life where food always means friends and family…whether it be an intimate dinner, a quick dessert and espresso, a bottle of vino for the weekend, or perhaps a little 10 year aged balsamic vinegar and prosciutto for tomorrow’s lunch. The best, most authentic Italian experience in Tampa Bay! From pizza and pasta to porterhouse and scallops, you will not find any better care or attention to detail than you will at this little gem.
