This was one of our favorite restaurants but and I say but that has changed...went there yesterday and the menu is different, food is not what a picture on their web site looks like & not as good as it use to be we almost wondered if the place sold & it was new owners but I hear not....well the food is not the same at all and waitress was tired & not friendly & prices have really gone up...a big disappointment....cross this place off our favorite list.

I'd like to give more stars, Bessie's the place is lively, clean, has a good vibe, and the food looks good. The problem is that after ordering at 2:15pm on a Sunday, we have been sitting here for 45 minutes, having received only a couple of colas. Not much food is being served to people at tables, although enormous bags of takeout are piling up at the cash register.

I'd love to try the meal we ordered, but we are really hungry, and I do think an hour is too long to wait for a simple lunch.

Potato chips are amazing as is the gyros. Plan on taking my husband there in the near future.
