The Bald Butcher has permanently closed, as the owner and chef has retired to spend time with their family, leaving a void in the community. The closure was a disappointment, especially after arriving for lunch but finding the restaurant closed due to staffing issues. Despite this, memories of the delicious fried chicken and meatloaf will linger for those who frequented the establishment over the years.

Once was the best place to eat not anymore!! The barbque is still good but the dining in has gotten awful!!! Food on buffet is cold and awful. when you order foods its like they throwing it together now!! im sadden by this once was my family favorite place to eat!

Best bar-b-que pork sandwich I ever had! Also largest with enough meat for 3 - 3! sandwiches. I was passing through Covington when I noticed a lot of activity on the restaurant's parking lot - obviously food was being served. It was lunchtime and I was starved wondering where to stop for lunch. I am so glad I stopped! In fact, I passed it by and decided to turn back to see food was being served. I was told by the waitress their bar-b-cue is the best I will ever eat. She was right!

Not only is the bar-b-que good, the waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely patronize again - and bring family and friends.

We were very impressed with the variety and the quality of the food, the atmosphere was also amazing. The waiter and every employee we talked to were so helpful and very friendly. We will definitely go again soon, it is totally worth the 30-40 minute drive!!

Love gathering family at the Bald Butcher, many down home food selections to choose from, "love the coffee" comfortable seating, very clean and organized and friendly waitresses and waiters. After dining we all take a walk through the little antique area just inside the door. Perfect family restaurant getaway.

Pleasing hometown atmosphere. Friendly and accommodating service. Best fried chicken and fried catfish. Second to none.

my wife and i celebrated our 28th anniversary at the bald butcher 3/17/14, we were impressed with the service and the food was great! we will be back soon, thanks for making our 28th as nice as could be.
