What am amazing gem in the heart of Gainesboro, on the townsquare. From the moment we entered I could tell we were in for a great experience. It was a special evening for us as we were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary & not only did we get a fabulous meal but it was a Saturday night & they had a live band playing great music. The drinks were all amazing as was the service of the entire staff but the star of the evening was the food. I had the Heritage Pork Medallion dinner with amazing cheesy garlic potatoes & I substituted in the glazed carrots & they are addictive. My husband had The Bull & Thistle Filet with the cheesy garlic potatoes & a side salad. Everything was cooked to perfection, the Chef & kitchen staff definitely know what they are doing. We look forward to trying more as this will be our new go to for date nights. I'm originally from Jackson county & the building that they are located in was a favorite store from my childhood & they kept the original wood floors & beautiful metal tray ceilings. It's wonderful to see the history of the building being preserved while the Pub adds new features & wonderful atmosphere for date nights, family gatherings, special occasions, well I guess they can accommodate any type of event that anyone can think of. I'm very impressed with how well this restaurant is run & how truly wonderful the food is. I can't wait for our next visit, maybe we can save room for some of the amazing desserts I saw that they have. I am so glad that this wonderful Gastropub is thriving in my hometown, it's definitely worth a trip for anyone in the state of Tennessee, it's better than a lot of the expensive restaurants in larger Tennessee cities most definitely.

Great food! Great service! and on Saturday night free entertainment can't beat it ! Everything I've ordered so far has been wonderful. One of my favorites is the Celtic Wedge Salad it is a meal in it's self.

We come down about once a month and order the Cod . a couple of our friends told us that they ordered the Cod and the portions now have been reduced to 2 pieces now ---Is this right what they told us?

Our second visit, on Mothers Day, was horrible. After our first visit in Dec. we thought we had found our "go to" place for special occasions. Then we went back for Mothers Day lunch. They had a very limited Mothers Day menu which included raising the prices for that day. Had fish and chips. The fish was greasy and the fries were not hot. Could have gotten better at a fast food place. Service was ok but nothing special. Not worth the drive or money.
