Top Reviews of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

review_stars 03/17/2022 - Darlene Hutchens
First, I want everyone to know that I thought Cracker Barrel always was a restaurant that had high standards, there foods above all others! Last month, my husband's boss came to town and we ate at Cracker Barrel. The experience we had was outstanding, food was hot, fresh and was amazing. We visited Cracker Barrel on Tuesday March 15, 2022, for my 66th birthday. The last past couple of years, my family has been through a lot of devastating loses, we lost my sister-in-law, my mother and my brother. My son was coming to visit me on a regular basis but my older daughter and youngest son took care of my family members since I was unable to. First, I had missed seeing my son and talking to him. My son decided to eat chicken an dumplings, apples, mashed potatoes and okra: my husband ordered the country steak platter with mashed potatoes, corn: and I ordered the shrimp platter with ff, okra, cooked apples with hush puppies, we all got biscuits. We all drank sweet tea. Our mashed potatoes looked like they had been left over, they we could and my son found a piece of plastic in his. Had to send them back for hot ones except for my husband because he was afraid the waitress would take his entire plate. My plate, I found a hair in it. The hush puppies were so hard if I had of bounced them off the wall they would have made a hole in it. Could not eat them! The French Fries were so dark they looked as if they had been cooked over and over, dark and they were not appealing. Y son had the chicken and dumplings, which looked darkest, and he found shredded carrots in the bowl of dumplings and we had to ask multiple times for our sides to be brought to us ad finally when my son waited on his cooked apples all thru the meal he asked for them again, when the waittress brought them to him she kind of slung them at him. We did not ask for her to forget our food, so we did not need to be treated that way. When I talk to the manager with pictures that I had taken, he wanted to know if I wanted more fries. I told him no. He said he would give us our meal free, in which I thanked him , but he did not even do that. I thought of all restaurants Cracker Barrel would stand by the quality of their food. The waitress we had, had been there since August. If I, could not take proud in my job, in myself, then , I need to find another type of job. Cracker Barrel's manager use to walk around to the table to see if the customers were satisfied. But we did not see one and when they promise something, than they need to do what they say. We were not the only complaint that night Darlene Hutchens 273 Fred Braddock road Crab Orchard Tennessee 37723
