Well I guess you no longer have call in orders tried to call line busy drove down they said you need to get in line and wait in line as if you were eating in there barbecue good but not waiting in line 2 hrs for carry out3/29/2025

Have loved Ridgewood for years but today was a huge disappointment. First of all they have switched crackers they serve with the blue cheese dip. Used to be nice and crispy... new one's are dense,dry and not appetizing. Greatest disappointment was the meat. I think they have changed their meat choice. Always before was tender and flavorable. Today the meat was tough and tasteless. Fries are dripping in Grease. Service was disappointing.. waited for food while watching others who came in after us getting theirs before we did. IDK what is going on but it's just not the same service or food that has kept us coming for 40+ years.

Wrote an honest review that Ridgewood needs to keep regular operating business hours. I received a FB message from a Ridgewood employee (Manager?) cussing me out for my review. I mean bad, like the "f" word. I grew up with Mrs. Proffit. Been a loyal paying customer for decades. I'll never go back.

Ridgewood is the best bbq ! The food is always the same. And you will always be full. We always try to go once a week.

I used to Love Ridgewood, the food was always great. I called in an order and asked for NO slaw on the sandwitch drive 30 min. back home get ready to eat and slaw all over the the damn thing. I ordered a lb. of beef took it home and planned to heat the next day opened the package and it smelled rotten so I tasted it and yes it was. I don't think mama Proffitt would be very proud of this generation running her legacy. I'm done with Ridgewood

I have been a loyal customer until Friday. I've waited like everyone else, usually an hour or more. Service has ALWAYS been bad but the food sort of made up for it. Friday was the exceptional! They were short handed and short tempered. Our waitress was overwhelmed. My silverware needed to be replaced. That took forever! Then I asked for a take out box. Waited....and waited...so I went and got it myself. Oh no! That was the WRONG thing to do!!! The owner had to chastise me for that!! Hatefully stating he would have gotten it. Oh,, I understand Covid protocol. I am an RN!! But HE was the one with his hands in the dirty money and credit cards!! Yet with his over inflated evaluation of himself thought his hands were cleaner than mine...to get a stupid to go box. I've been treated disrespectful for the last time. I'll go to The Firehouse or Smokey Bones before I ever set foot back in this over rated dump!

Waited forever to get in the place and waited forever for our food. Stuck at a little table against the wall. Food was not great at all. Busboy was hurrying too much and ended up dumping a whole container right where we sat. We had food and sauce all over us. Totally ruined my appetite.Manager said he could not get to us because he was busy. Look if you have a problem that should have been taken care of right away. I will never eat there again! Way over priced for what you get. Bad experience all together!!!

True it is not much to look at, but they people are nice and the food is (most important) really good. Home cut fries, really good BBQ and what looks like runny BBQ beans. But much to my surprise they are great and addictive, so addictive I got an order to go. We will go back!

The BBQ an Beans were Great, the fries could stand to be a little more done. The young guy that runs the cash register needs to be a little more nicer to people, PPL take attitudes seriously... The food was great!

May have been a great place once but today? Sorry, no. Fries are soggy. Baked beans have lots of liquid, few beans. More like bean soup. Cole slaw, BBQ sauce, meat and meat serving size are "OK" . . . nothing spectacular . . . better than some, not as good as others. Parking is unsafe. Seating is lousy. Waiting room is like waiting at a bus stop. Service was unspectacular. Crowded, noisy and frankly, the place smells of dirt ad lack of cleaning. Basically, you get to sit in a crowded, noisy, smelly room with walls covered by old photos and for the "ambience" you will empty your wallet. Total rip-off basically surviving on past glories. Avoid. Oh, did I mention it was waaaaay over-priced?

There is no BBQ anywhere that can even be considered on the same page as Ridgewood. This BBQ ad beans are absolutely out of this world.

Forget it NC, Texas and Anywhere else. Ridgewood Barbecue sauce is the Nectar of the Gods. If you want the BEST barbecue, don't waste your time anywhere else. Just sit back, loosen your belt and get ready to be satisfied. P.S. If you want the true barbecue experience, park next to the little screened in building just down the hill and leave your car windows cracked a little. The hickory smoke will fill your car and you can dream about your trip for the next week or so.
