My first time at this restaurant and was not impressed. The brunch menu was limited so I just ordered a kids meal, ugh. I planned to bring a friend for her birthday next month but l will have to find someplace else.
The lake view was awesome!!

Might be a little price but absolutely worth it!!! If you go I recommend the catfish plate it is THE best catfish I have ever had and the best you will probably ever have if you get it!!!

Use to take out of town guest out there. Was a great place to show off Belton. Never again. Went for lunch recently with guest. The worst, most limited menu for a restaurant I have ever experienced! The service was slow & awful, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Now I know to take people to down town Belton, & just take a drive over the lake.

I was not happy with my experience at Dead Fish Grill. I visited your restaurant yesterday, September 26th. I reserved my table two weeks in advance for a party of 27 people with one in a wheelchair for a surprise birthday party and proposal to my girlfriend. I let them know everything that was happening and asked to be by the water to capture the moment. I chose to arrange my event in your restaurant as I heard the food served at your place is tasty and the view perfect for my event. But to my surprise the food served was pathetic as well as the service.
Upon my group arrival we did not have enough tables. Our tables were the in the back, farest from the water & terrible lighting. It was so dark in our area majority of my were using their cell phone lights to read the menu and my handicap mother in a wheelchair was not equipped to walk up the stairs. Our waiter, Dan, hands were disturbingly black, like he was fixing on someone's car all day. Drinks were forgotten, straws, napkin, ni steak knives were available for the steak eaters and plastic fork and spoons for given out to people to eat there dinner with. Gnats, mosquitoes, and moss absolutely out of control. They were floating in drinks, in people hair, and food. Due to this, we asked to get moved inside.
Once that was granted they but us in an area that didn't accommodate our party size so they had to move us again. Finally, we were moved to an area that was handicap accessible, enough tables that were stained, our cold food, missing drinks, missing final receipts, and plastic forks and spoons as our utensils. Every single one of my guest were disappointed. Including two of the little girls who ordered hamburgers and got cheeseburgers. We had guest drive hours out of their for this moment. We had several guests that were excited about dining at your restaurant. For everything and everyone to walk away embarrassed and disappointed.
The only good thing about your restaurant was our waiter efforts to attempt to right the wrongs. He showed no signs of frustration about being alone with such a large party. I am very disappointed with the food, service and accommodations provided for my surprise birthday party and proposal event. I hope in the future you will maintain good standards and honor your future guest's accommodations.

The fries tasted like they were cooked in old grease the fish like the grill hade never been cleaned. The service was awful the only could thing was the view of the lake. We live in Killeen and have been going there when it was Franks we will not be back you are spending a lot on advertising for nothing

Used to be great ! What happen? Oysters were tiny and salty. No fresh veggie choice .......
