Cotton Patch in Ennis, TX is a local favorite with delicious food and friendly service. The chicken fried steak and chicken tenders are always a hit, and the rolls are fresh and light. The staff, like Rachel and Maria, go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure you have a great dining experience.

We went to Ennis Cotton Patch last Friday. Because we live more than 20 miles from Ennis, we called to make sure the restaurant was open before leaving. We were told the dining room was open. We came mid-afternoon to miss the Friday evening rush hour. There were a few customers there and we were seated when we arrived. We waited 20 minutes with no service. During this time the other customers finished their meals and left. Finally, a girl came to our table and asked us if someone had given us water. We told her no and then she said, "We're closed." No explanation or apology was given so we left. We are VERY dissatisfied.

Ordered Chicken-fried Steak, sides....mashed potatoes, green beans and side order of fried mushrooms. The portion of steak was half the pre-Pandemic size, the gravy was like milk ( no thickness). The mushrooms were burnt. You go out for good food and to help local businesses stay afloat, and when all is said and done you feel screwed!
