We have savored the delicious food at Murphy's Steak House for quite a few years. We love, love going there. Lately, we're trying the seafood, and it is scrumptious!!! We're so glad they have the salad bar open again too. If you haven't tried Murphy's hoof it on out to Winchester, TX, the folks are friendly, service is great, and anything you order promises to be lip-smacking good!

The very best and affordable. Fried onion rings and mushrooms were excellent. 4 of us ordered differentoptions. My ribeye was cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes were homemade. Salad very good. We were too full to have dessert but they looked delicious.

Came from Austin to have steak in Winchester and it was worth the drive! Thanks to the chefs and all responsible for making me a satisfied customer!! Some steak houses have stale coffee, not Murphy’s!

Never go to this restaurant. They removed their salad bar, which was a highlight of their restaurant. I assume it was because of the virus and was just temporary. No, they said it will never come back, yet I've been to several other restaurants who have adapted to the virus concerns and kept their salad bar. They now serve a salad instead. Then they say that they have only two salad dressings, Ranch and Cesar. What? Do they just assume everyone likes those? They used to have several to choose from, including 1000 Island. How much trouble would it be to have more choices than two? So, I hated their new salad. Then came the meal. I ordered their expensive seafood platter with onion rings. Instead, I got onion strings!! What happened to their wonderful onion rings? Instead of getting two good shrimp, I got two big flat overcooked shrimp. Instead of fillet of fish, I got fish sticks. I was wrong about just the salad bar changing, everything has changed. Nothing is like it was. Why in heaven's name come here now? Never, ever, chose to eat here!
