Chef Robert and crew KNOW how to develop taste through seasonings and creativity. I don't know where he built his chops but this is one top chef that rivals accomplished chefs in the largest of cities worth of a James Beard award. He could legitimately beat Bobby Flay on his show. My wife kept raving about the complementary rolls and mixed butter and chives. The beer and wine selection was excellent. I had Shrimp Lagnaippe which was fresh and cooked just right with incredible flavors. Side dishes such as green beans and dirty rice were anything but ordinary. Every bit of fare was treated as it's own dish and it all worked well together in harmony. My wife's chicken fried steak had the most amazing crust with Pepita in the crust and gravy that rivals the most accomplished grandmas of yesteryear. Even the mashed potatoes were outstanding. The waitstaff to the greeters to the bussers and owners were polite, attentive, and classy. What a hidden jewel of a venue in the Hill Country! This same quality fare would be 50-75% more expensive in the big cities. Kudos to the restauranteurs and their staff!

I am so happy that we have a wonderful restaurant to go to now. The murals are beautiful, and the food is excellent! Robert is not just a great a chief, he is also a generous man who helps our community by teaching others to fix healthy meals for our food bank, CRCC. Thank you, Robert!
