Definitely a fine Mexican dining venue! Getting ready to have our second visit with some friends from Boerne. Both service and cuisine are EXCELLENT! My wife and I will continue to support local dining places! Highly recommended!

Pass by Sandras frequently traveling 281 so we decided to stop in and give it a try. What a mistake!! Started with the chips and salsa which were very good. Salsa tasted fresh with the right amount of heat snd the chips were warm and crispy.Wife ordered a house margarita. Asked what the house tequila was, and after asking the bartender our waitress told us Grand Marnier. Told her that was a component of a margarita but not tequila. She checked again and told us it was a secret.No foolin'. They refused to tell us what tequila they use but said it was really really good. Ordered a couple of typical Mexican plates The cheese enchiladas were bland with an out of the can brown sauce. The rice and beans were plated using an ice cream scooper and stubbornly held their shape even after repeated attacks with my fork. What I managed to pry off had very little taste and a gummy texture. The beef taco was made with a Piccadillo that was void of seasoning made from meat that tasted as though it was at some time freezer burned. Absolute waste of time, money, and calories.

Great Mexican food. Come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have it all!

You know we were regular guest since they opened up. We went twice a week and sometimes in between. Everyone out here love Sandra's. Some of the best servers ever. Then they hired floor managers. It went down hill from there. They were both rude and hateful. I never expected special treatment as a regular, I just expected to be treated nice. Everyone I know who went there as regulars are now finding other places. This is a sad event. If they treat regulars like they did us the last few times we were their, I can only imagine how they treat first timers. Not saying they don't need floor managers, but the service now sucks.

This is NOT Tex-mex or mexican food. The only reason this place does so well is because there is nothing else out in the area. El Rodeo is by FAR better!

A delightful experience. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the presentation quite lovely. A real treat. Definitely 5 star rating.

Excellent food & even better service! Lauren was our waitress tonight & she was very friendly & welcoming!! Sandra's is our favorite restaurant at Canyon Lake!!!

They do not even deserve 1 star. Worst service I've ever experienced. Actually, it almost seemed like my husband and I were on candid camera. Even had to ask for new silverware, there was hard old food on it. Server asked us if we were ready to order without giving us menus, after sitting there 20 minutes. Please read reviews on of this place before going, especially Facebook, it's very disturbing. Our visit today confirmed just about every review. I'm so concerned that I am calling the health department. After all the waiting and food taking forever we had to wait an additional 15 minutes to get our bill we asked for to only find the server on the phone when we went inside to demand our bill to pay. Patrons beware!

WORST restaurant experience EVER!!!! on top of the ridiculous waiting time to eat - about 1.5 Hours, we got caught finishing our meal by closing time, we were sitting by the patio and with no show of respect at all, they started sweeping the dusty floor while we were eating!!!!! I asked them to stop but they just laughed about it and kept sweeping. Prices are too high for the quality of the food and the service provided; you will be better off eating in a food truck off the street, at least the dust you collect comes natural by the wind and not by a bunch of unprofessional and stupid people! NEVER COMING BACK, NEVER RECOMMEND IT!

We had stopped frequenting Sandra's even though it is close to our home because of poor service. Last week we had guests who wanted some good Mexican food nearby. In our experiences the food had always been fine, service was the only issue. It was decided that all would go to Sandra's. To our most pleasant surprise service was excellent even though the restaurant was extremely busy! Thank you Nathan for restoring our faith in Sandra's! We will return weekly if you will be our server! Sandra, he is a keeper!!!
