The chicken fried steak at the Feed Mill was absolutely awesome, and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

My husband and I just finished eating at the Feed Mill, and we will positively never go back to this restaurant. He ordered 10 grilled shrimp, caesar salad and beets, and I had a hamburger steak, coleslaw and mac and cheese. The presentation of his plate was horrible, plus the shrimp were extremely small and tasteless for $16.95. I should have ordered a hamburger because the size of the meat was the same. The coleslaw was old and dry. The cabbage leaves were brown around the edges. No dinner rolls were offered to us. The only good thing I can say about this restaurant is the price of the beer. ($2.50). Total price of the meal was $47.25, I would have rather stay home an ate a tuna fish sandwich!!

some friends and I go for lunch once a month, We had not been to Feed Mill in a while and looked forward to going. The waitress were good, the food o k now when I ordered I joined in with several and ordered 1/2 a salad. When it was brought out I was told 1/2 salad. I thought it was a lot, however I was told the whole salad was really big (therefore my reason for ordering 1/2) It was good, however when the bill came I was charged for a whole one. When I questioned it the server asked what size plate it was on. REALLY? She also offered me a dessert, to which I declined. if I wanted a dessert I would have ordered it. Long story short we paid for a whole salad $8+ The moral of the story? That $3 extra charge will cost many many $ as the bunch of us are not going back.

Not too bad if you like a slab of meat being passed off as a rib eye! After being married to a meat cutter for 29 years I can honestly say I know my cuts of meat! Maybe you don't mind paying for what you're not getting. Either they don't know what they're selling or they're taking their supplier's word for it.

Just finished eating with at the Feed Mill. For the good points the owners greeted us warmly and seemed to try and keep pressure on the staff. Meat quality was very good. Now for the rest. If you do not order a steak or burger do not go. If you order a steak or burger ask for one level higher on temperature. If you like Medium ask for Medium Well. Service was lackluster, our waitress seemed to not want to not want to be working. Other than the quality of the steak (albeit very undercooked) the rest of the food was poor, just packaged salads and bagged/canned veggies. Sorry to have to write this, I had high hopes.
