Arrived at the restaurant around 4 pm on a Friday with my family, tried the food for the first time based on a friend's recommendation, and was pleasantly surprised by the fast service, ample seating, and delicious, generously-sized dishes with plenty of protein.

I'm guessing a change in management within 1-2 years. Many years ago it was great when crazy eyed Jack managed it .It went down hill when he had to go back home. It was still a go to but not as often rare. We had take out Saturday night 1/21/23.Fast great pricing. We had the family meal for 2 .My hats off to the cooks that work at Hong Kong Express now. The best meal I have had at Hong Kong Express in a long time. Egg rolls are better even the soups have better receipts. Played it safe with old favorites I had Beef Broccoli the beef was very tender and a lot of it my daughter had the orange chicken very fresh and tender also. Lo- mein delish small grain rice yummy. I had to give a review to an old favorite .Thank you for the enjoyable tasty meals. We will definitely be back soon. Teresa

I haven't had a meal this terrible in a long time. First off, when I ordered my meal online I did not receive any information as to when my meal would be ready for pick up. I called after 5 minutes and got the dial tone which lasted for over 10 minutes. When I picked up my order, it did not feel friendly in the restaurant at all. As for my food- it was incredibly awful. I opened the bag and got hit in the face with spicy odors.. for an order of sweet&sour chicken with fried rice. The chicken was swimming in grease and it tasted terrible. The fried rice was NOT fried rice at all. There were literally no little veggies like the peas, carrots, etc that you typically get in fried rice. It was just brown rice that had a weird sweet smell/taste to it. It was awful! Consider yourself warned. I would NOT recommend stepping foot in this "restaurant".

I think this place is great! Not perfect, but what place is? Don't expect celebrity chef level food - it's just a good, neighborhood Chinese food joint. They're doing a great job handling orders during the pandemic too.

Very disappointed! This is the second time we have been unhappy with the food. I don't know if management has changed or the cooks have. Mongolian beef was not consistent with what we had gotten a year ago. The fried rice had no flavor (tasted like steam rice just browner and a $1.00 more) Not a huge deal but 2 entries and only 1 fortune cookie. Won't go back,

Terrible service. If I could give zero stars I would. Waited an hour and a half for our food then I called to cancel and they said they could not refund me till the end of the month. They charged me over the phone but couldn't refund over phone. I had to go in. The girl on the phone was unapologetic and never apologized. Acted like she didn't care

the best chinese food in forney, i love it.! ..ive been here for over two years and always order from here.. very friendly staff and always a great quality of food.. i highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

If you get delivery do NOT expect to get what you ordered. This is the 3rd and final time to order from Hong Kong Express.

We ordered delivery ..it came pretty fast..we had ordered before and it wasn't bad so we ordered again..they got the order wrong..which really ruins things especially since you spend so much and wait only to have it not what you ordered..we called them right away and get such an argument, they said we are the ones that was wrong !! they did nothing but argue so it was hopeless, what can you do? anyway we had to spend 30.00 on a meal we didn't want...grrr..no I.m sorry this happen or nothing !! too bad attitude !!! the meal I ate tasted like it had been under the lights for hours..stringy and dry :( and the other meal was dry..not like the first time we ordered..wasted 30.00 and was treated rude on phone..we won't be going back !!

Great food! I went thinking.. Oh its just another asian food chain like Panda... Which I hate Panda Express.. But food was hot and. Yummy! Worth a try.

First of all I would like to say we have been eating at Hong Kong express and ordering take out from this restaurant for 2 years since we moved to forney. We had a party of 10 tonight and one of my family members ordered a soda and a water and right before we received our food my mother inlaw was telling us that the last time she ate here she got a soda and a water and when she went to refill my father inlaws soda the lady behind the counter told her that she had the water clearly they could have seen that my father inlaw is legally blind and using a cane. So tonight was no different the lady behind the counter questioned one of our family member that he had water not soda which he was getting a refill for his wife who was holding and feeding their 10 month old son. We had enough of the rude service we did not even finish eating and got up and left we were so embarrassed especially after spending over $100 dollars and we were just wondering why they kept staring at us I explained to them that if they had a question about the drinks words like excuse me sir would you like a soda in replace of the water or would you like to order a drink instead of yelling it out that you didn't get a soda. This will be the last time we order or come to this restaurant it's a shame because they're the only Chinese restaurant in forney..
