Disappointed! We are long time customers. My Wife and two sons go there often. We arrived there this evening at our usual time, around 6:50 PM. We ordered the same things we normally do. The place was no where near as packed as normal, so we were thinking maybe the service would be exceptional. We were wrong! It took over 40 minutes to get our order. When it did come there was not as much food as normal and the quality was not as it has been our experience with past visits. The manager whom we have never seen there before did come over and apologize for the very long wait. She offered free deserts for the four of us. She explained that because of football season and a plant order they were held up in the kitchen because those orders were first.
Now here is the important part...I told her that I was not interested in free desert and that I wanted to know that this would not happen again. She proceeded to tell me that she could not promise that because of football season. I made the comment to her that maybe we should not come to eat there on Friday night anymore because of the football games and that those customers mattered more. She agreed that it would be best that we allow football season to pass and then perhaps their food and service would return to normal.
I was very disappointed to hear this! I pay my money just like anyone else. I expect good food and service for my hard earned dollars. We will (never) eat at this place again! What a let down! Bad service and poor management, at least on this night. I'm sure it made this woman feel better that she offered us free desert, but could not make any promise that food and service would be good going forward. Remember that I warned you! This was one of our favorite and staple places to eat out, but not anymore! This place is not what it was even a short time ago! The service was bad also and the people at the table next to us were not happy either. Bad experience!

My girlfriend and I met some friends here this weekend. We had a great time! Service was fast and friendly. Everything we had was pretty good. I order the gumbo and it was tasty. Others ordered shrimp baskets and enjoyed them.

Got there about 5 and ordered 2 shrimp baskets. They were out within 2 minutes. The taste confirmed the obvious. This was food left over from the lunch crowd that sat under a warming light. Ill never eat there again.

Ate there on July 22, 2016. Do not eat the oyster basket there were mushy and had a cloudy color. The waiter said that was the way they were suppose to be. I own a restaurant and I would not serve them. The oysters were from and old bad batch. Had to pay for some thing bad did not want to end up in the hostipal for food poising.

Their etouffee bowl is just as big and tastes better then Pappadeux at less than half the price.
