I recently visited a German bakery and grocery store that had a nice selection of breads but fell short in terms of deli offerings. It was interesting to hear people conversing in German while I was there. The place was a bit cramped, with mostly German signage but it added to the authentic feel. Next time, I'll make sure to arrive early in the morning to avoid missing out on their popular items.

We come to Harker Heights area often to visit our adult children and their family. We Always stop at Pfeifers on the way to see the kids. I will often say..."I come all the way from Houston for the rye bread at Pfeifers."
And...I mean it! That rye is the best rye bread in Texas! We also love the delicious pastries from Pfeifers.
The cheese stuffed pretzels, beautiful salt and cheese toped rolls and croissants are delicious, and the cream filled pastries are out of this world!

As authentic to the amazing baked goods that can only be found in Germany 🇩🇪 Mr.Pfeifer's Bakery is one that has achieved such a coveted Rank of being an authentic German Bakery in the USA! He has received his extensive training in Germany starting out as an apprentice for 3 yrs receiving his diploma of journeyman from the German Bakers and Konditor Guild and after continued education and passing of required tests by the German Handelskammer received his Master Baker and Konditor (Master Pastry chef) diploma! He is a gifted and talented artist creating masterpieces of baked goods that are truly amazing and delicious definitely worth to die for or like most of his faithful clients willing to travel distant miles to his business! To keep his assortment of his baked offerings as authentic as he does he travels to Germany if possible every year to buy the ingredients needed for his products to turn out like they were baked in Germany! He is the real deal and the cream of the crop a true gift to his profession! I will go as far as saying that in my opinion "He is #1 in his profession" and Pfeifer's German Bakery is the #1and the Bestest true German Bakery in the USA! I'm sure everyone that has tasted his goodies will agree with me! We're blessed to have Pfeifer's German Bakery in Texas to serve us with Heavenly baked goods! Thank y'all at Pfeifer's!
