One of the most satisfying meals I've ever had was at a charming restaurant in Zapata, TX that we visit each year during our travels. Despite the challenges they face in hiring help, the waitress did an excellent job serving us delicious, generously-portioned food that left us with leftovers to enjoy later. The friendly staff and variety of tasty dishes make it a place we'll definitely return to when passing through Zapata, TX.

First time there. We tried the chicken fried steak with gravy and cheese yesterday. Meat was very tender, not stringy and not too salty. Best we ever had. Also, the iced tea was delicious. This being said from a gal from the deep south. Place was very clean and waitress was A+++. Plan to visit again, before leaving town.
