All there food is good. I go there often.
Sometimes the cafe is full that the wait staff may take a little time to get to you to order. They are taking care of the guest that came there before the new guest. For the people that are complaining about the food,they will take care of you,all have to do let them know there is a problem. Great staff work hard to provide great service.

I invited some friends to try Felipe’s in Danbury and was extremely disappointed in the service. We had to wait for the waitress for an extended time as it became apparent that we were not even greeted, no silverware, no condiments on the table and most of the tables were dirty. It appeared to be change of shift so instead of even offering a drink, it was more important to put out ketchup. We were never offered refills or asked if we needed anything and had to get different waitresses to get us anything . This is not the first time that the service was this bad but I hoped better for this time .

Have eaten at Filipps Cafe for over 40 years. Always great food and good service. Their fried shrimp is the best I have ever eaten! Highly recommend!

Went there recently and for the first time we were disappointed as compared to previous visits. Everyone in our party got burned Texas Toast. Those who ordered hamburgers got burned buns. In fact, all customers in the place got burned breads. Chicken fried chicken was overcooked. Waitresses need to be a little friendlier. Just because the other café closed down does not mean you need to relax your standards. We drive 30 miles to eat there. Sad trip this time.

Fried Shrimp was under cooked, fried squash was greasy and not fresh, chicken fried steak was tough as a boot, could not eat it.

Shrimp plate is the best compared to anyone. Only complaint is we drove out there on Sunday because we were craving the shrimp and the place was closed !!!!! Keep the hours up to date on the website. Long way to drive.

Cooked the fried Oysters same way mom did when I was a kid... Excellent..!!
I would like for you to try fried sliced jalapeno using the same recipe that you use for fried okra, and mixed the two together...2 to 1
These two together would be a great dish... Or would you make a dish for me when we come again. I think it would go good on your recipe... I had these in Calfonia during a business trip and that's when it hit me...That these two together would be a great taste.

My faimly and I really enjoyed our experience at Filipp's. I have never had fried shrimp that good, they are wonderful!!!
