Today, without going into too lengthy detail, a manager or someone in mgt blamed me for not "shouting" that my mom was choking on a piece of meat. I was too busy hitting the back of my mom's back & thankfully she was able to cough it. After I sat back down, a waitress asked me if everything was ok or something. I said she was fine now. Clearly, she had seen that my mom was in distress but didn't alarm anyone. She didn't even let my waiter know because he said he didn't see anything even though they were both working alongside. Wow. But management came out to follow me in the parking lot and said "Girl, you should have screamed 'my mom is choking' " and also thought I was being rude at him or the waiter (or both) for not understanding why I'm upset. No compassion, none. Why didn't he talk to the waitress that saw me hitting my mom's back and ask her why didn't she shout and alarm someone. But no, I'm to blame because I didn't shout out. No one did anything, the waitress (that saw)..other customer's that sat watching. This only took about a few seconds, so I'm busy attending to my mom. I would like to think I would alarm someone if I saw no one help. No apologies from management, just to criticize me for not 'shouting' in the distressful situation.

My brother David Rutledge and his wife took me and my husband there to eat and it was the best food I've ever eaten in San Angelo. The service was excellent. I have no complaints at all. I would drive the 1500 miles again just to eat there again. Next time I'd love to try the steak and just keep coming back till I've tried everything on the menu. Looking forward to eating there again and again.
