Looking for a delicious meal and a convenient spot to park? Mama's Kitchen has you covered, even for larger vehicles like a 40 ft trailer! I opted for the jalapeño cheeseburger with a side of crispy onion rings - a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and tasty food make Mama's a must-visit local gem for a satisfying meal experience.

Everything I have eaten from breakfast to dinner has been spectacular. The wait staff is awesome even when it is only 1 and a busy crowd. They are attentive and polite. I gave 5 stars for cleanliness, great staff all around and the best food and desserts. Thanks Mama's staff for a job well done.
If you haven't been to Mama's, stop by and try them. I promise you won't be disappointed

My chicken fried steak was fantastic. Not a frozen patty but the real thing. Had a hamburger on another visit and it was equally delicious. Real down home flavor. The service was great and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend if you're passing through Somerville and need a bite to eat.

I've been coming here for the past year. It was a really good mom and pop eatery pre-civid.
After reopening from Covid, I think they've had trouble hitting dependable staff.
Breakfast was always the best, but the part 2 times, they missed their mark. Eggs were not cooked, bacon was burned on some pieces and raw on others. Pancakes were still good but used to be way better. They said there was a no person on the grill.
Let's hope this decline is temporary and they find better cooks.

We ate there on 11/12/17 and the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD FABULOUS. The service was horrible though. This was my first time there and I will go back for the food and give the girl another chance. She totally forgot my salad after asking 3 times what dressing I wanted, and after delivering our food never came back. I was pleased with the price as well as the food. Staff seemed more interested in standing around and chatting than working.

Waitresses were very nice but i was eating the buffet&my husband ordered off the menu&appetizers. I gave my husband some of my chicken fried steak which by the way we did not finish because of no taste&we lost our appetite. Someone came up to us&said since i fed him also they would charge us for two. We were going to share each others food because we couldn't make up our mind. It was rude&embarrassing to us. We were paying good money on these items&it was not worth it. So we told them we didn't want our other orders so we payed for One buffet&left. We will never eat there ever again. Worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant.

Just left this restuarant im so sad to say we orderd daily special sirloin. We paid right at 30.00 for a meal that should not be a 2.00. God forgive me we are dome not to complain. Didnt argue about priceif good it was worth every penny. It was nothing but grissle meat you cc ould not even make stew out of it.couldnt chew or cut it. But the worst part wr went up to pay and as a biisness person
I adk and told I would remove the steak off the special. We ate yhe nice people the nect person you serve thid to can addtessed tomake a big stink in this cute buisness. We didnt ask for discount or free. We simply said you need tmamas kit v hen 17534Mamas kichen Somerville Tco send back to your company that u our costomers cant eat it and they or complaing the help said do you want the cook cook another one. I said you have the betyer one. Im writing this because they just wasnt listening. I said its not the cook. Take to owner so they can address it.we love little mom and pop food but will not be back and will tell others. They couldnt help the cut of meat but they need better people and buisness skills. Thank you hope this is a leson to the help sorry owner I told them to tell you but I dont think they will.best of luck

Stopped in for lunch while passing through few weeks ago. Very impressive buffet lunch with 3 different meats and lots of downhome veges; corn, green beans, greens, mashed potatoes, etc. Don't know how they get that outstanding crust going on the fried chicken, but out-of-this-world good!
