During my last visit, I ordered the fried catfish, which was disappointing and appeared undercooked. However, the brisket was excellent, and I appreciated the generous portion sizes. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was attentive, and overall, it was a satisfying experience despite some issues with certain dishes.

We ate at Splendora Cafe yesterday for the first time. I had the chicken fried steak which had old-tasting beef and my husband had the seafood platter. The shrimp didn't taste right and fish had hard, thick batter. My mashed potatoes were watery.

We have been here numerous times. The staff is friendly, service is fast, the portions are ample.
Two things that Splendora Cafe could do to improve are: 1. Make actual mashed potatoes. The instant potatoes are runny and flavorless. We expected real mashed potatoes at a country cafe.
2. Cook the regular fries longer. They tend to be super greasy and undercooked. (Curly fries are always crispy and delicious)

Been going to splendora cafe for years use to be a good place to eat not so anymore ordered a $18.hamburger steak no flavor only thing I can say won't be back they need move back to the old place

The chicken fried steak was a nice cut, thick and no grissle. However, it didn't seem to have even been salted. The gravy tasted like flour and milk with nothing else.
The grilled chicken was thin sliced and then grilled. Dry, tough and no flavor.
The hamburger was a nice juicy, thick patty, but no taste.
The most tasteless, bland food we have had, maybe ever.
Salad bar was good. Wait staff was friendly. Good portions. Nice atmosphere.
We like to relish the flavors of the food as we fill our stomach, not here.
