Arriving for a late lunch after my lab appointment, I had hoped the restaurant stayed open longer, but to my surprise, the waitress informed us they were closing at 2pm. Despite her initial reluctance, she eventually warmed up and provided efficient service. The plate lunch special with meatloaf and sides was decent, with the meatloaf showing signs of being left out, but the black-eyed peas and potatoes were satisfying. The little salad, bread pudding, and tea rounded out the meal nicely, leaving me eager to revisit this charming country restaurant earlier next time.
