The cozy, family-owned restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere that my Dad, Eddie Johnson, and I both enjoy. The generous portions, like the enormous hamburger and mouthwatering chicken fried steak, never disappoint. It's been a reliable favorite for nearly 20 years, offering homestyle cooking that feels just like grandma's kitchen.

Amazing food , so good we used them to cater our Daughters wedding . The complements would not stop coming lol . We did Chicken fried steak and Chicken fried chicken ,mashed potatoes , green beans and rolls and did not break the bank Amazing Food every time !!!!

Great place to meet the locals/neighbors, very down to earth, relaxed ambience, good service, and the food isn't half bad either. I really enjoy my visits to the star. The tables are just far enough away from each other to allow conversation but keep everyone safe and distanced in these crazy times. Enjoy !!!
