Tuffy's is a casual restaurant serving home-style Southern food and local Cajun favorites. We are famous for our rolls, made famous by a write up in Texas monthly magazine! And our mile-high meringue pies are customer favorites.

Wife and I went here Friday July 20 2018. Both ordered chicken fried steak. Both of our grants were cold. My mashed potatoes were also cold. Service was good. They comped us some deserts which were ok at best. We will never never come back here. First impressions are everything. As messed up as our meals were you would have thought they would comp the meal not desert. So be advised. Owner was there and didn't have the guts to talk with us himself. Pretty weak. So tuffys enjoy my money for you shall never never see another dime from.

Celebrating a BD party there last night. My food was great, and the wait staff did an amazing job. Whitney and the other waitress did an awesome job, waiting on so many people. They were friendly and helpful, even though I know it had to be stressful. Great job !!!

I love Tuffy's but last 2 Times there was way too much salt in the gumbo.

I just come home after a dinner at Tuffy's. I have been there 5 times along with 4 other friends and each time we ordered something different and each ones order had a least one item that was so salty it could not be eaten. I thought after this long that someone would have noticed. The last time I told the waiter and Van C about the over use of salt but apparently the message fell on deaf ears. But I decided to try them one more time this evening. I ordered the grilled fish again but this time I had the seasoning on the side. The fish was ok but the others had the Gumbo or the baked potato and again they were way to salty. Maybe other customers have had no problem but I won't be back again.

food fantastic good taste fresh ,hot , rolls hot wait staff super good esp katilyn super .
if you want to drive to tuffys its worth the drive super super super .

one small complaint salad is to small .

Without going into a lengthy description, our visit to Tuffy's was less than pleasant. We decided we would not return. We spoke with the manager, Johnny, who went above and beyond what was expected to rectify the situation. He is an excellent manager and people person. Because he truly seemed to care about our concerns and made them right, we will come back again. I hope the owners of Tuffy's realize what a great job he is doing and that he really seemed to listen. Better hang on to him.

I had the pleasant surprise today when I stopped by Tuffy's for the first time in years. Apparently, they have changed hands and a menu menu went into effect August 1, 2010. I was disappointed to see that they didn't have fried oysters anymore, but I opted for the crabcakes. Holy crap, those things were dynamite!!!! I had the smothered catfish for my meal and it was equally amazing! I will be back for sure, SOON. Thank you to the new owners and their staff, the place is better than ever!!

New owners have saved a longtime favorite restaurant. The restaurant was CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN and the staff was eager to please. The new menu still features the famous Tuffy's rolls and a wonderful selection to choose from. We had the stuffed shrimp (with real crab meat stuffing!} and fresh catfish friend to perfection. If you haven't been lately, give it a try and it will quickly become your new favorite!!!

Have eaten at Tuffy's twice and enjoyed both visits. The wait staff is excellent, we never had to want for anything. The food speaks for itself, it is wonderful. We have tried the Ribeye, Jumbo Crab Cakes, Stuffed Shrimp and the Boudin Balls and I would definately order them again and we will be returning for more. It is nice to have a new and improved place to eat locally. Congrats to the new Owners.
