The sauces at this place are a real treat. The hottest one they offer is no joke - loaded with red pepper flakes for us spicy food lovers. The chicken patty in the wicked chicken sandwich is as thin as a piece of paper, so don't be shy to ask for extra patties. Despite the slightly steep price tag, the food is good and the staff are super sweet. It's a great spot to grab a bite if you're in the area!

Very little sauce on the wings so asked for more to enjoy flavor and told have to pay for more. I stated there should be enough sauce on them to begin with why do we need to pay for lack of sauce. Simple answer given was they are trying to cut down cost so less put on orders and charge when customer requests more. If I wanted plain wings I would order them that way. So pic is what I had to do, take the food home and add my own sauce. This is what is called nickel & diming. Sadly we have been eating here for years and now we will not be back for a long while!

Where'd the Quonset Hut come from?
Diner Review
The Elvis - While wandering the back-roads of Texas on a recent trip back to San Antonio, I asked my son what he wanted for lunch. "Burger" he emphatically stated, without hesitation. I knew Kaufman was our next town, so I told him to look it up on the Urbanspoon App, and find us a burger joint - and up pops Wings Over Kaufman.
Seeing the large metal hanger as we came up the road told us immediately we were in for a treat. Parking was quick and easy. Once inside, our initial perceptions were confirmed - cool digs with the unmistakable smell of tasty burgers hitting the flattop.
I had the basic cheeseburger and my son had The Elvis. (weird how a kid 14 years old will ALWAYS go for a dish named after a pop star...) Prices were right on point.
These are some GOOD burgers. Fries were awesome, all washed down with ice cold tea, and the ladies working the counter were as friendly as they could be. There was lots of cool items on the menu, including some terrific sounding wings, and a full roster of beers to choose from.
We were wanting to make up for lost time (because we lingered over every bite) or I would have asked how the Quonset Hut came about, but the road was calling. I'm pretty sure I'd eat here a lot if I lived here and I'd get that story, which I'll bet is a good one. Maybe one of the locals here will tell it for us.
