I'm so bummed that this restaurant we love is closing at the end of the year. Hoping they find a new home soon because we'll really miss their delicious food and friendly service! It's been a go-to for us for years in Tucson, and we're sad to see it go.

The restaurant seating area is tiny and a bit claustrophobic, the service is ok, but the food is phenomenal. I came from Texas and enjoyed authentic food at homes and restaurants located in the heart of Laotian, Vietnamese, and Thai communities. The cooks at Mantis deliver that same flavor and style. The Tom Ka Gai, fried garlic pork, and bun with any style meat are amazingly good. Generous portions, too. As far as strictly Asian restaurants go, Mantis and one other restaurant located off Orange Grove and La Cholla are the only 2 non-sushi Asian restaurants I'll spend money at.

I just go online order and the food comes an hour later always delicious! Never had a bad experience with them yet! Their Pho is very good!

Great food..bad service...
they were more busy stuffing their faces than seein how we were doing, my husband wanted another drink a sprite snd they refusd. we wanted a to go cup w/more soda wanted to charged. very very rude....
my opinion take it to go..

Whoever is posting that the food is awful is probably a competetor. There are a lot of chinese food vendors around here, but none as good as this place. The food fresh, and I have not had a bad experience here yet. Ive eaten here over 25 times I'm sure. The inside decor- not really "nice" but then again, thats not the important thing when I eat.

Kathy's review seems very off. The food is always fresh and delicious at Mantis and the management is professional and courteous. In fact, what made me love Mantis was that the first time I went there, the veggies in the Mongolian beef were cooked to perfection and had a delicious flavor that you can't get from old produce.
Anyone trying Mantis out for the first time should go for the Mongolian beef, the egg foo young, or any of the shrimp dishes.

I got sick from the food. My husband could not eat his food because it was so awful. The manager refused to refund our money and lied to the health department about the incidence. I will recommend that others not eat at this establishment.

Simple place, reasonable prices, OUTSTANDING food!!! Quality every time. I can not find better locally. the food is so fresh. I rave about mantis constantly. Date night? MANTIS
