In the 90s, I had the privilege of working at this charming neighborhood cafe owned by Milda and her son-in-law Tom. The cafe exuded a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with freshly prepared food and a staff that made you feel like part of the family. Every visit was a nostalgic trip back in time, filled with delicious homemade dishes and the joy of being in a place that felt like home.

Milda's needs to review the ethnic origins of their food offerings. On the radio, they advertise "Finnish Pasty". Pasties have NOTHING to do with Finland. They are of English origin, specifically Cornwall. Pasties gained popularity on the Iron Range in the days of underground mines over 100 years ago. Miners would take them in their lunch pail and eat them at their work site in the mine. Anyone familiar with pasties or from the Iron Range would laugh at the term "Finnish Pasty"
