10/28/2024 - Gail C.
Stayed at the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington and had some delectable Indochinese dishes delivered from this red door through DoorDash - talk about convenience! The Hainanese chicken was a rare gem to find in the Twin Cities, alongside other favorites like the laksa and roti canai. The tofu satay stole the show, but I wouldn't mind seeing a veggie version of the prata on the menu for some extra oomph. It's always an adventure dining at a Malaysian restaurant outside of Malaysia, especially when your partner is Malaysian - but hey, we took the plunge and the verdict was a solid "not bad", which in my books, translates to pretty darn good! The Cantonese family running the show here may not be Malay, but they sure know how to whip up some flavorful dishes. While the food was quick and delicious, I must say the spice level could use a tiny kick - maybe it's a Minneapolis thing. And kudos to the owner for going the extra mile to whip up some chili paste upon request. Looking forward to exploring more of their menu on my next take-out adventure!
