When we moved here from Florida over 6 years ago the Popeye's in Eden Prairie was our Southern go to restaurant! We have noticed a steady decline in the quality and true Popeye's flavor. We haven't ate there in about a year. Tonight we thought, hey let's give Popeye's another try and see if they have improved and got back to the awesome flavor that Popeye's is known for. Wow! what a big disappointment! Our family was excited to have those buttery melt-in-your-mouth biscuits and one of a kind crispy flavorful Fried Chicken etc.
There was no butter to be found in these chalky dry hockey puck biscuits! What was supposed to be mouth-watering crispy flavorful chicken was greasy plain flour coating with tasteless chicken underneath. We've had convenience store Fried Chicken that tasted a hundred times better then what we had tonight from Popeye's! Not to mention the gravy was awful, dirty rice had a chemical taste and coleslaw was bitter! I truly hope that corporate sends someone to the Eden Prairie,Mn Popeye's and does some training on the proper seasonings and cooking and preparing of the food!
