I had been a very regular customer to Joy Garden. My son and I stopped for a late lunch yesterday and arrived just a few minutes after 3pm. We ordered and after waiting for 5-10 minutes the waitress said we had missed the lunch special which goes until 3pm. So we would have had to pay more for the exact same food because of about 5 minutes. The waitress asked the "manager" and they said no! To make matters worse the waitress became rude and kept interrupting me while I was talking. I couldn't believe it. Not good customer service for a restaurant to give to any one, especially a regular customer. I worked in a few restaurants when I was younger and they would have honored the lunch price without hesitation. They were willing to lose a customer to get a couple more dollars. The food is descent, although slightly overpriced, but absolutely not worth being treating like we were.I will never eat there again.
