While passing through Vermont, we picked up some takeout from Chan's on New Year's Eve and were impressed by the quality of the food and the friendly service. The hot and sour soup was perfect for the chilly day, the spring rolls were deliciously delicate, and the chicken and vegetable entrí©e was cooked to perfection, providing a generous portion at a great value. I look forward to the opportunity to enjoy Chan's flavorful and affordable Chinese cuisine again in the future.

Almost like eating in their home, the kids (pretty well behaved) go in and out and they remember their repeat customers. The recipes deviate from the traditional just enough to make you think that these are family variations on the theme. The prices are terrific and a family of four can eat for $10 a plate with the obligatory left-overs to take home. The place is very relaxed and kid friendly. I eat there a little less than once a month and never had a bad meal.

It's a nice family business and it's a little bit like walking into their home as the kids are often about. You'll mostly find the local crowd in this small town restaurant. The dining room is clean, but not fancy and the service is relaxed - really relaxed. Prices are low, portions are large, so even if the food is a little so-so it's still a good value. It's a great place to take a bunch of hungry teenagers!
