The lunch take-out at this Chinese restaurant in Central Vermont was delicious and well-prepared. The environment was clean and welcoming, and the prices were reasonable. I ordered the pork egg foo young and was impressed by the generous portion size and flavor.

t Chinese around! Usually head to Hong Kong in the center, but this wa a spur of the moment take out order since I was in downtown Waterbury. I ordered the C17 General Tso's Chicken and the Sesame Cold Noodles. The Generals had large pieces of fresh chicken with a light breading, in a flavorful sauce that was just the right balance of spice and sweet. My combo came with a generous helping of the chicken, a large serving of a freshly made pork fried rice with large chunks of pork and several large steamed broccoli florets. The noodles were a generous portion of their lo mein noodles with a sweet sesame sauce, fresh green onion and a large sprinkle of sesame seeds. I was pleasantly surprised! All the food was clearly freshly made (not prepped in advance for the weekend like most places). I was impressed with the portion sizes. The egg roll included in my combo was great too- not too greasy and served hot right out of the fryer. And both the phone and counter service were very pleasant :) I have found my new destination for Chinese takeout anytime I'm in the area- delicious China Star!

For a small town, dime a dozen Chinese food joint, this place rocks! Very fresh tasting food, not overly greasy. Way better than their competitor on Rt 100 in Waterbury. Fast and great prices. Very consistent--we are never disapointed!
