Restaurant Description

Garlic John's, a local favorite, is a long-established chef-owned regional Italian restaurant located in the Southern Green Mountains, minutes away from ski resorts and shopping. Our extensive menu features something for everyone. We also offer daily savory specials using seasonal ingredients and our full bar provides a warm dining atmosphere. Outside dining on the veranda is available during the summer months. Our family-friendly atmosphere offers a children's menu and take-out is always available.

We recently tried a new restaurant for takeout based on some mixed reviews about the ambiance, but were pleasantly surprised by the lovely decor when we went to pick up our food. The pasta dishes we ordered, including puttanesca and broccoli rabe pasta, were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor, although the soup container was disappointingly small. Despite this, we will definitely be returning for more delicious meals in the future!

Have been eating here for over 30 years. Have always had good meals. One of my favorite restaurants in the area.

July 23 2011 reservations for 7:30 arrive with family attending Vermont festival horse show 6 year old and 14 year old and mom and dad ordered plain boiled pasta and waited 2 hours for the food Waitress Lee was put out and not in the game thinking that a kitchen problem that she relayed to us after waiting one hour was sufficient for not getting boiled pasta for my 6 year old daughter no respect from staff or care of customers, we waited one more hour for food what were we thinking MANY OPTIONS IN TOWN DO NOT PATRONIZE GARLIC JOHNS ZERO STARS AND POORLY TRAINED STAFF AND ARROGANT OPERATION..NEVER AGAIN
