Poor management very disorganized and front staff not able to deal with situation making remarks “maybe they will go homeâ€. Disrespectful and unwilling to assist. We were a party of 9 took 45 minutes to get seated and discovered a party of 6 sitting at a table for 10
Suggest hostess when busy who is dedicated to taking names number in party etc would help
With organization and keeping customers happy. Otherwise the food was excellent

Broiled popcorn shrimp was raw..asked for a meal compensation..told only 10% off...what an insult..had an all you can eat flounder, fed my wife half my meal, the restaurant would not give me any extra food..manager(kid) was irresponsible..

I am from out of state and have never eaten here before. I have a question before I do that.
This restaurant has many good reviews. The prices seem far below fresh seafood restaurants. The question: Is this a fast food type of restaurant with frozen food or a regular restaurant with fresh seafood prepared on premises. Thank anyone for their comments.

Had lunch with my sister ,who have seen in a month. Service was excellent. Our server Tina was the best. Food was excellent = received in quick manner & hot. Never waited for anything. Will highly recommend to all I know.

My husband liked his seafood. I don't eat seafood ,so I tried the chicken which was soaked in this lemon juice marinade and did not taste good. They offered to switch it for something else so I chose to try the steak. Big Mistake. They literally served me burnt steak which is not the same as well done. No seasoning on the steak just the taste of burnt crispy meat. However, I will say the best thing there for me was our waitress and she was new. Maybe seafood should be the only thing Captain Tom's should cook. It was four years before I tried this place because the last time it was bad. I had hoped in four years they would have found a cook who can cook chicken. Guess that isn't so! I won't be back.

Great food, good service, rated service only good because they are so young and sometimes get wound up with themselves. But the fish is really well prepared and cooked and you can truly get as much as you can eat

Love, love, love Captain Tom's. The service and admosphere is wonderful. The food is excellent and you get a lot for your buck. I recommend Captain Tom's to those of you who are traveling through it's well worth the stop. And even those of you who live here who just want a night out with friends and family. Hope to see you there.

I came in your restaurant this past Thursday for my first time ever, and I have to say that I was extremely happy with the service and the food, not to, mention the portions of the food was great. They do jus give a little teeny side of coleslaw but I got so full from everything else I couldnt even eat everything as it was. I believe Lisa was our server and she was wonderful. Very attentive, and kept our drinks full, as well as made sure we stayed happy. I really appreciate it.

Great Food, lousy seating. After several visits to the restaurant with excellent food consumed I found on my last visit that they had renovated, which was needed. However, in order to accommodate the new bar area a great deal of comfortable seating has been uselessly lost. The biggest majority of patrons are not interested in bar seating, high tables and chairs. Hopefully the new bar will bring in enough money to offset the loss of patrons who do not want to be crowded at tables.

Out of a billion visits I only had one mediocre meal. I love this place and can always rely on them to cook my choice of fish the right way. They make me and my girlfriend very happy.

My husband and I really enjoyed dining here tonight. Our server was knowledgeable, polite and observant. Portions were pretty good for the price. Every food item was delicious...seasoned well...great! We will definitely remember this place when we have a taste for seafood. The only minus was the young lady that was responsible for seating guests...very rude and almost influenced us not to eat there to begin with. We are glad we stayed and overlooked her.

Everything is great.the food is good and fairly priced..the service is OK...only one complaint...why so very little coleslaw served with the meal?..cabbage.mayonnaise. carrot s..are among the cheapest food to make. And very simple to make..that seem to hord it though
. whereas they more than amply supply you with all you can eat flounder for around 12 bricks...does not make 4Amy sense to me.

I was in your rest on Thurs ordered from menu The menu stated 9.50 and the waitress stated that it would be 10,50 because I ordered scallops and I was charged 12.65 Talked to the little rude guy at register and he kept saying sorry bout that. seems he needs a course in How to be Nice and charge the advertised amount

This restaurant is Colonial Heights' best kept secret. Totally awesome food and service. We've been there probably more than 25 times. Every visit has been great.

My daughter wanted to go to this restaurant for her 18th birthday so I got all of her aunts together. How ironic that I was given a senior meal and because I said I was not a senior(I'm 45) I was given nothing in its place. My aunts complete meal never came and the service was horrible. It appeared that they were understaffed and the waitress was in need of medication, her attitude really needed to be adjusted. We had to ask several people for our check and the little guy at the register was even more rude when I told him to to include the 15% gratuity. HE WAS A SMART AZZ AND I WILL NEVER DARKEN THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN....I HOPE THE $100.00 THEY GOT WAS WORTH LOSING A PARTY OF 10
