The market in Packwood is conveniently located and well-stocked, offering a variety of essentials and local products, including fresh fruit and ready-made meals. The staff is friendly, and while prices may be higher due to the rural setting, the overall experience is pleasant and meets the needs of visitors.

Blanton's IGA in Packwood is a charming little market with a good selection of essentials that you might need during your stay. The friendly staff and convenient self check out make shopping here an enjoyable experience, especially when you're exploring the beautiful surroundings of Mt. Rainier.

I've shopped at Blanton's for over 10 yeras and while I enjoyed the store when Hal owned it, I like it even better today. More selection, more natural items and a friendly staff, especially the manager whose been there forever. The prices are higher than WINCO, but very fair considering what inflation has done. I'm a fan and will always support our hometown store.

The staff are helpful, polite and professional. The owners however are horrible. When they purchased the store from the prior owners the community quickly learned the new owners have no interest in being part of our very small community. No meet and greet, no community appreciate events, no monthly meat sales, no summer produce sales. The new owners promptly added more alcohol, and to go type foods. The prices have skyrocketed, (more than inflation) even though much of our community is elderly and on limited incomes. It is also not uncommon to make a purchase only to realize the item expires within days of the purchase, while noting the price you paid was not a discounted price, but very expensive compared to a responsible grocery store.
The community is quickly realizing we must plan to shop outside of our town versus supporting our local store which has been the history of the residents. Perhaps at some point the owners will learn they need the local residents and decide to make adjustments to their business plan.
