Stopped by this cute little diner on our way to Leavenworth and it was a pleasant surprise. The steak I had was incredibly fresh and juicy, definitely hit the spot. The staff was very friendly and the whole experience was memorable. A great choice for a classic American meal.

Make special 50 mile trip to eat here. No problems in the past until 2 months ago. Both times, dark haired female employee greets us, shows us to table & nothing. No drinks, no menu, no service. Too busy talking to relatives having lunch or to other employees. Seats other customers after us & gets their order. Us, nothing. Place wasn't busy either. Last time (Wednesday) again not busy but same dark hair female employee "working". Too busy talking to visitors to seat new customers. Finally says "seat yourself" but doesn't come asking about drinks for 10 minutes. Takes the order but no followup service. No asking how things are, no refills, no check, nothing. Again too busy talking to other staff to bother with her job. We finally went to counter to pay our bill & had to wait 10 minutes listening to her talking in the kitchen to other help. This used to be a great place to eat but no longer when customer service is totally lacking. She needs to get a job elsewhere where the job is actually talking to people, not in a restaurant setting where she can't do the job.

WTF!
No masks worn by any of the employees, and few coming in with masks on their face.
Kids allowed to run around and touch pie case and staff say nothing?

I went to the Mountain View restaurant in Gold Bar today. The waitresses were not wearing masks! So I chose not to eat there. Washington state does have a mandate on mask which started back in July!
When I called to ask them if they were wearing masks the waitress was rude and acted like it was a choice! To rude for me to want to come back!!
