Deliberately ignoring state covid restrictions is a really good way to lose customers - both to the illness and from being patrons - and lose your business.

We have eaten at Spiffy's many times and always find the food to be good. We drive down from Tacoma to meet friends that drive North from Portland. Staff is always friendly and take good care of us. I note you say they do not take reservations, but they do take reservations. We always make reservations as some times Spiffy's is very busy.

My wife and I stopped in for a quick evening meal. She ordered a burger and I ordered the chicken fried steak. When the waitress delivered my plate of food, I noticed a clear fluid pouring off the side of the plate. The red potatoes were covered in a large amount of raw garlic. The fluid that was pouring off the side of the plate was garlic juice. The potatoes were also heavily covered in dill and not fully cooked. The meat was tasteless except for the garlic juice. I was extremely hungry and tried to concentrate on the meat but was not able to finish it. The seasoned vegetables were seasoned with a good dose of garlic and resting on top sausage gravy. Needless to say, I just quit trying to eat it. My wife's burger was fine.

The waitress retuned and I asked that she take away my plate and explained this was one of the worst meals I had ever had. I did not ask for replacement or a meal comp but the most unprofessional waitress immediately displayed a negative attitude! She later returned and tried to play nice and tell me the manager was informed and would take steps. The manager never bothered to come discuss the problem with me.

Upon going to the counter to pay, the cashier started to double charge for the food.

I will never eat there again and recommend the same to anyone else. I just don't think they care!
