I used go love bringing my family here, but today the manager (Monica Gonzalez) ruined our day.
Backstory: We walked with a party of 7. My wife and were carrying out 2 pet parrots in their backpacks (we're traveling through town and couldn't leave them in the freezing cars). Nobody said anything, and we were just sitting and waiting to be served.
After 15 minutes Monica came to our table to take our drink orders, and when we took too long to decide how many coffees we need (mostly 70+ aged individuals at our table), she got impatient and walked away.
5 minutes later she walked back to tell my wife to put her bird back in its carrying case, which we obliged. My wife has taken hers out to give it some water... which I acknowledge was a bad idea.
10 minutes later (rather than bringing our coffees) she came to tell us we have to take our bride to the car, and that it's a violation.
I explained that I can keep them under the table or in some hidden corner, in their crates, and that the car is too cold for parrots. She was very short-tempered and rude and wouldn't allow it.
So in order to make my family happy and not start a scene, I put them in my car and left the car on for an hour.
I understand that rules are rules. It's not my house and I have to follow the rules of my host...but why did she wait so long to tell us that? Had she mentioned it at the door, or during the first 2 visits to our table, I would have obliged and left the restaurant.
She did it when it was too late and was very rude and short-tempered with the whole table.
We're all clearly Muslim Americans (my mother was wearing a headscarf) I think a part of it simply came down to racism, as well as a power-flex on her part. There were so many other ways she could have gone about it. I would have let her take the little crates and put them behind the counter or her office, but she didn't offer. All in all, she was not a nice person and very hostile.
We won't ever be going back. That's too bad because I really lover their food and they have wonderful employees. Why was the manager the one serving us in the first place?

I ordered through Doordash and I had a few items missing, plus I had read a description incorrectly and was expecting something i did not receive. Not only did the staff go out of their way to correct the actual mistake they even included the item that I was expecting but not technically supposed to receive! To top it off a staff member personally delivered it to me. You just do not find customer service like this anywhere anymore so I wish I could give 10 stars! Will be a repeat customer for sure
