This local sub shop in Wilmington is a must-visit for me whenever I crave a satisfying meal. The specials are my go-to choice, always leaving me impressed and content. The generous portions, friendly service, and delicious ingredients make it a top pick for enjoying a tasty sandwich experience.

Had the worst experience ever tonight. My order was wrong I called back the young lady who answered the phone was very rude very combative tell me I called her a liar this is all because no bacon, no tomatoes. She said the cheese was on there I didn't see it she said it was there so I wasn't pressed over the cheese cuz maybe it was there it was white but I asked to be refunded for the bacon and the response I got was unbelievable. I grew up eating Sub stop never had a bad experience until today but it rubbed me the wrong way to be told that I said something that I know I didn't see. So I guess this $25 order will be the last order that I make it Sub stop do to the loud rude over talkative combative young lady that answer the phone today at 7:00 p.m. on March 5th 2021

Best Subs in Wilmington hands down no one else even comes close the tuna and the steak are the best ever. I've been going here since my senior year of high school at John T Hoggard with my teammate's in 1978 and haven't stopped visiting even after moving to Rocky Point NC we grab a bag of subs for Appalachian State Football and North Carolina Football games we would reload on Sunday but they are closed on God's day.
Great customer service and the pickup window is a great convenience with the Covid-19 in the air.

BEST Subs in the Port City Jimmy Who and keep the Subway in New York this and Merritt's BBQ Drive-in the Port City Legends for over 40 years my dad turned me on to this place as a kid in the 90's my daily lunch spot and the fries are damn good as well.

I work nearby and have been there multiple times during their busy time. I have never gotten the incorrect food and it was always delicious!

Food was sloppy, and slimy, and was DEFINITELY not worth the wait time. I was waiting for my order for almost 25 minutes. Doesn't compare to other sub shops in town, Save your money people, go to Jimmy John's or Subway. They care more about their call in customers than they do the ones that take time to walk in. NOT SATISFIED AT ALL!

I just started going to Sub Stop because of the location and convenience. Last night however, only my third time going there, I got home only to find out that I did not get what I ordered. I actually found out when she handed me the bag that I did not get the turkey sub I ordered, I got only a half of one. They had a special turkey 1/2 sub with fries and drink for 7 bucks and I specifically told her, when she asked me if I wanted the special, no. I wanted a turkey sub and also got a half philly sub. Two orders of fries. One order of fries were like "leftovers" from a prior batch and the other was fresh. The "whole" turkey sub with light lettuce, no oil/vinegar, onions, tomatoes, with bacon and extra mayo was a train wreck. First no extra mayo, second they had put banana peppers which I never even asked for and oil and vinegar, and a HALF sub not a whole sub. My rating went down as of last night. I only ordered two subs, two fries and half the order was wrong. Won't be visiting for a while. Shame.

I actually like Sub Stop and think that the food is good, but I do have a problem when you specifically request NO MAYO, not just once but every time I place an order. But guess what, I get mayo about 75% of the time and when I call to report their mistake they tell me that the person that took my order must have misunderstood. I could understand if it was once, maybe twice, but 75% of the time. I think not.

So I ordered a sandwich a specific way and before I left the restaurant I looked inside it and it did not have the mushrooms as requested, but they had something that looks like jalapeno peppers to me. So I asked, they said no they were cherry peppers. I asked if they were spicy they said no. Well I didn't believe them so I threw them away. And the sandwich was still extremely spicy probably bc they were smothered on there, so the juices were still in it, and I only took one small bite, called them and explained to them and all I asked was if they would make my sandwich correctly. He said yes we did make the sandwich how you asked and was not interested in providing me with a new one, not when I was there nor on the phone. You would have thought if they were concerned about their customers that he would have wanted me to be happy, but he was not concerned at all whatsoever that I did not get to eat it, I told him I'd bring him the whole sandwich back. But he did not care, I wasn't asking for a refund, I just wanted a sandwich that I could enjoy. So I will never go there again, because the customer service is absolutely terrible. Now I know why the place looks like a hole in the wall. And I will probably be out of business soon because they weren't real busy, now I know why.

the subs certainly are pretty darned good, especially ordered Northeast style (no mayo or mustard). The trade of is that you're inundated with bigoted and Tea Party-ish bumper stickers and signs all over the walls, and a good amount of employees and clientele to match. Not worth it, even if there weren't better options these days for subs in Wilmington, which there are.

Where's the meat and the cheese?
This use to be my favorite sub place in town, but here lately it has gotten horrible. If you want a sub with no meat or if you are a vegetarian than this is your sub place. I don't call a sandwich a sub with only 2 pieces of meat and one slice of cheese.....
