The cozy vibe here makes it feel like a family gathering, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. The food is impressive; the Philly cheesesteak is as authentic as it gets, and the mozzarella sticks are a must-try with their perfect cheese pull.

I am hooked on the pizza steak and cheese sandwich! Shredded beef cooked in a garlic italian sauce that is unique, memorable, and addictive. The creamy cheese is heavenly. It is so good that every time I go to the Philly Deli I think about trying something else, but end up ordering the pizza steak (since 1980!). And the wonderful, wedge cut (skins on) fries are consistently cooked perfectly. My favorite drink there is a Dr. Brown's cream soda. Absolutely delicious! (Now that I have re-lived the menu, I will have to stop by there soon...)

I moved to the Carolina's in '87 and would drive from Topsail JUST for a walk on the riverfront after having dinner here!! Coming from PA, I was glad to find a REAL cheesesteak that can rival those from home-even NYC!! It was always great to have the same staff, they are always cheerful...and fast~~!! Only complaint?? PLEASE come to N Brunswick county!!

I've been going here to eat for over 25 years and the food has always stayed the same -- excellent! No doubt one of the best Philly Cheesesteaks around Wilmington. The service is not consistant. Sometimes I've gotten great service and other times I wished I ate somewhere else. The prices are reasonable, though.
