First went there about 60 years ago as teens from the old Riverside area. Try to go by Merritts when we are back in town occasionally now, even though we go back into New Hanover County as little as possible nowadays. (getting too crowded)

I have been going to Merritt's since I was a little girl, I am 50 plus now. I LOVE their hotdogs with pickles on it!!!!

I live in Nashville TN and travel to Memphis for BBQ but Merritt's vinager based BBQ is the best BBQ by far.

It's a throwback to a better time. The 1950s drive in era. My youth. I loved the atmosphere. Burgers were great. This was my first time and I think I'll be a regular.

Can't speak for the entire menu. I ordered the burger expecting a home made patty...WRONG...Frozen , took one bite and spit it out. Horrible to say the least. Put food back on tray paid the nice waitress and went to a restaurant with real food. You live, you learn. Never going back.

I have love eating at this restaurant every since I was a kid. They have the best burgers and hot dogs in Wilmington. This drive up joint is worth the visit.

I HAVE BEEN EATING AT MERRITTS FOR ABOUT 40 YEARS. NO LIE IT IS AS GOOD AS IT WAS YEARS AGO.. I LOVE IT WHEN I GET A CHANCE TO GO BY AND GRAB THE BEST HOTDOG IN THE WORLD. IF U HAVENT EAT THERE YOU OWE IT TO URSELF TO TRY IT .. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MISSIN.... GREAT GREAT FOOD!~!!!!!!

This place has the best chilli and slaw cheese burger. I feel in love with it the first time I tried it. I would recommend them to anyone!
