I had the Hurricane omelette with home fries and two baby pancakes. The red potato home fries were so good and the baby pancakes were huge. The omelette was the best I have ever had. Highly reccomend this place. Keep up the good work!

It is our new favorite place for breakfast. Generous portions, friendly people and almost anything you want for breakfast and lunch.

Every time I come here, which is often. I make my way to Kate's. There's so many options to choose from I never had the same thing twice. Yes it may be a little wait time. But the hospitality and the food makes up for the inconvenience on your behalf. Remember it's a beach town.

From the time we walked in, until the moment we walked out, Kates Pancake House was a perfect representation of the friendly/ homey feel of NC. We ordered the to-die-for crab benedict and banana pancakes. The benedict came with my choice of home fries. The portions were large and despite how good it was, we left food on our plates. I always test the claim of "homemade" by the home fries. Some restaurants think if you "doctor-up" frozen potatoes, they are homemade...NOT. Kate's home fries are hand peeled, boiled, ruffled sliced and grilled! Delicious! The service couldn't have been better. It was quick friendly and the waitress was attentive. Thumbs Up

This place is way too expensive for a breakfast place. $3.00 for a juice. Almost three dollars for a sausage patty side which they asked the kids after ordering $6.99 pancakes if they wanted sausage or bacon of course they are going to say yes!!! We paid $50.00 for breakfast today after waiting for 25 minutes to sit just to get ripped off for breakfast!! BEWARE!! It's a shame there aren't many choices in Carolina beach for breakfast so they can keep ripping off people. If you have kids no juice or side of meat and share the pancakes they are big!
